Answered By Antonis Christodoulides

Now, I am no brownnose but I shall kiss ass when it is called for. Your latest album, " There is No Revolution ", is simply Intense. I would say This is my favourite piece since Before. How is it that you can release this Stomping, pummeling, brutal Thrash impressively executed yet somewhat catchy material at such high quality year after year?
We love playing and rehearse weekly to make sure we can stay tight and punchy I guess!

What Nebukadnezza Name Mean ??
Nebukadnezza was the name of a Babylonian king, they were a legacy of warlords in anciant times.

Define Nebukadnezza musically, Six words or less?
Brutal Thrash Grind

How was the experience of recording Kill? Easy? Demanding? How long did it take you to master the whole album even to the point of taking the material live on stage?
This album took too long to record and master, we had problems with it the first time, the final mixes didn’t sound to great on the first half the first time round so we had to re-record it, all in all to record this album its taken about 2 and a half years. Taking it to the stage didn’t take long at all we’re a live band so trying to capture the atmosphere live on cd was harder tan making it pounding live.

Given the Stomping, pummeling, brutal Thrash impressively executed of the " There is No Revolution " album, did any of the songs on there make you think “Oh shit, how am I gonna pull this off live?” while recording them?
We were already playing a lot of them live before the recording came out, see previous answer.

How did the recording process go? Did anything unusual and/or spectacular happen? You tired yet of the comments about the drums’ placement in the final mix? Did you have the final call on the final mix?
Originally we hadn’t planned on putting so many tracks on the album, but in between the gap of recording the first time round we wrote some tunes that we thought would sound awesome on the album, that’s why its kinda split into two parts and why it sounds quite different, we recorded the second half of the album in a different studios with a different producer. We always had complete control however and had the freedom to change what we didn’t like and keep what we did like.

How Compare with Material From Release Before like " A Taste of Shit to Come, Failure = Destruction EP and Maybe Onslaught LP ?? There is No Revolution is More Than high quality death/thrash metal in the Vein ??
I think this album is a bit heavier than the onslaught album and in some cases the EP also. Although I think Failure = Destruction EP was the beginning of us liking things a bit heavier and to the point.

Are Bands Bigger Fans For Napalm Death, Sepultura and Terrorizer ?? Throughout the Nebukadnezza career, you have delved into some pretty twisted stuff in your songs. Give me a rough estimate of how many ways you have come up with to extinguish human life?
We have about 30 songs so I guess that’s 30 different perspectives, obliterating the human race is a big theme haha but its also about the people at the top and extinguishing themselves.

Now, a person can take many kinds of approaches when reading and pondering the lyrics in Nebukadnezza songs. I’d say they can be taken as extremely serious, Which kind of approach do you think the band has had when making these lyrics?
Yeah I think I agree, we don’t write about things that don’t affect us in our lives, you could see the songs as just rants, angry rants haha, but I think its always been like that with Nebukadnezza the nature of the music is so aggressive that it come out that way. We fit in a few satirical lines as well though like in Infotainment “what do you see in this bloody city, poor people starve and the news mans got a hairpiece”, there’s room to make what you want out of it.

I’ve also thought about this cooky thing. What if Nebukadnezza wrote songs about things that would not be so typical to them; what would they be called? So I give you a topic to make song lyrics out of and you in return give me the title for that song.
Haha yeah that sounds fun, come up with something and we’ll see what we can come up with

Of the emerging bands today playing similar craft as Nebukadnezza, which ones do you like best and who would be your top pick to do a cover of one of your songs? Which bands do you think will make it big one of these days? Would you like to share any advice to them?
There’s quite a good buzz in London at the moment and Doctor Death are going to do well along with Mutant, Sick To Death, Flowers of Flesh and Blood, Just One Fix, Dead Existence, Damnas, River Freshney, Divine Chaos there’s loads check em all out! The band I would really really like to see do really well though is Inner Rage, I want to own an Inner Rage album before I die, please Nic ..please.. haha

Have you been recording or filming any material for possible future usage?
Yeah we’re going to make a DVD of the tour we’re about to embark on which takes us out of the UK and into Europe, we’re also working on songs for a new release

With a band of Years existence, how do you see Nebukadnezza in the years to come? Would there be any possibility of a genre shift? Please tell us more of your future plans.
I think we’re just going to let ourselves develop without pushing anything, we’re working on a new album “Across the Divide of Misunderstanding” so we’re going to keep our foot to the floor and in the words of D.R.I FULL SPEAD AHEAD!!

What artists/bands have you been listening to lately? Any recommendations for our readers?
Personally I’ve been listening to the new Cripple Bastards album if you haven’t got it, get it, its intense stuff awesome

Any Planning Tor Make Some Promo Tour Gigz on Indonesia next Day ??
That would be awesome and we’re open for offers to come to Indonesia

Well, this Fuckin interviews can be very nice too and on that note I’ll conclude this one. Thanks for doing this little digital tea chat Mail and let’s hope our webzine will still be around for whatever next band release you’ll be on haha. keep existing for extreme metal
To keep it fast but also tight and brutal!

Some Comment About Nebukadnezza Stuff ...

- A Taste of Shit to Come (2008) -
This is a CD single of the split Vinyl which Nebukadnezza will release with River Freshney, with one song each it gives you an idea of what the Vinyl will sound like and where the bands are at musically at this point, expect more in the future.

- Failure = Destruction EP (2005) -
"Nebukadnezza are one of the hardest and most violent sounding bands to come out of the UK thrash Scene and this EP accurately represents their fury in all its terrifying glory. Comprised of four tracks (and a little something extra), it bursts forth with raw aggression and pounding riff-work that is nicely backed up by some ferocious drumming. Imagine Sepultura and Kreator combined with Napalm Death and Terrorizer. Stomping, pummeling, brutal Thrash impressively executed." - In the zine of evil mag

- Onslaught LP (2004) -
"If you're looking for an excuse to dust off your denim jacket and don your bullet belt then look no further than London's Nebukadnezza. 'Onslaught' is a heavy dose of high quality death/thrash metal in the style of Destruction, Sepultura etc. The riffs are razor-sharp, the drumming is solid and the vocals are bestial, but what makes Nebukadnezza stand out is the passion with which they blitz through the nine tracks on the CD." - Terrorizer
